What happens when you sign up

  1. You send us your church’s name and city. That is all we need to start.
  2. We email you our contact information. So you have it on hand if a member ever asks for help finding a therapist.
  3. We contact you when we have options for your church.Until then, there is nothing more you need to do.

How it works

How do you verify therapists?

Every listing is checked before it goes live, and each one says exactly what we checked, so you can look it up yourself.

  • The federal NPI registry. An NPI, or National Provider Identifier, is the unique 10-digit ID the federal government issues to every health care provider. We confirm that it exists, that it matches the therapist’s name, and that it belongs to a mental health provider.
  • The state license. Or a person on our team looks up the therapist’s license number on the state licensing board’s own public website.
How do you know a therapist’s faith?

We ask every therapist directly, up front, about their denomination and how faith fits into the way they work. We ask the people looking for care the same questions, so matches are based on real detail from both sides.

Do we have to use you?

No. There is no obligation. Your church keeps whatever referral relationships and resources it already has. We simply want to be one more option, and you decide if and when to share us with anyone.

Does this cost churches?

No, it is free.

There is no fee to your church. The people you share us with pay nothing to search for a therapist either.

Are you a counseling provider?

No. We are a referral directory. We help you find options, and the care itself happens between you and your therapist. Choosing a therapist, and making sure that therapist is the right fit and is properly licensed, is always up to you.
